Cross Creek Golf Course is a 27 hole public golf facility located in Decatur, Indiana. The facility has the 18 hole Cross Creek Golf Course and the 9-hole Majorki Executive Course.
Cross Creek Golf Course first opened for play in 1947 with 9-holes. The course was designed by Robert Bruce Harris. The course was expanded to 18 holes in 1990. The expanded layout was designed by George Young.
The course is fairly flat. Water hazards come into play on a number of holes. Mature trees line the fairways.
The signature hole is #17, a 293-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot over a dry ravine, then an approach shot to a narrow, elevated green. This hole provides a couple of options. Go for it or lay up. The big hitter has a chance of hitting the tee shot over the woods and even on the green. You need a little local knowledge to find the right angle and a little luck to hit it on. Most golfers must carry a pond in front of the tee (about 130 yards to make it across). A 180-yard drive will leave about 125 yards to a flat uphill green making it difficult to tell where you are at even if you land on the green.
Blue tees: par-72, 6,512 yards, 70.5 / 122
White tees: par-72, 6, 130 yards, 69.2 / 119
Gold tees: par-72, 5,450 yards, 66.2 / 106
Red tees: par-72, 5,033 yards, 68.3 / 115
